Question of the month
I remember a Christmas time many years ago - I was not older than 10 years. My parents did not have a chance to buy a Christmas tree. I know, it sounds rather absurd, but back in those days and in another country where this story took place, the artificial trees were still very rare and the natural ones were
available only for a very short period of time. Both of my parents busy with work did not get a tree so we spend the day before Christmas gluing big sheets of paper together and drawing a huge Christmas tree that we later hung on the wall. Although it was a paper tree instead of the real one with the drawn boxes for the gifts and round papers brightly coloured red, blue, and yellow instead of the decorations, that was one of the most memorable Christmases in my life. It was the time spent with my parents, the laughter, and the jokes, the warmth and cosines of the family dinner that makes me remember those days 20 years later.
