Submission guidelines

At PassiFlora we are always looking for new, original recipes, interesting articles, and any other fresh ideas related to green living. If you are interested in contributing to the magazine, please write us.

For all types of work

  • State in the subject line the type of the information submitted (recipe, article, craft, idea, tips and tricks) and follow one of the formats described below. Please include the signed and dated statement in your email:

By submitting my work to PassiFlora magazine, I state that I am the original creator of the work, and that I have not infringed and/or violated the existing intellectual property rights of any third person . I agree to hold PassiFlora and its editors and publisher harmless from any and all expenses, losses, liabilities, damages or third-party claims that may arise from any infringement and/or violation of such intellectual property rights. This notice is my written permission to allow my work and all related images to be published in PassiFlora magazine in its current format and in any future format in perpetuity.

  • Please include a short bio/description of yourself that you would like to appear with your submission, a picture of you, as well as a link to your website and any contact information you would like to share with your readers.
  • Follow one of the formats described below to insure that all of the information is included in your email.
  • We would contact you once we relieved your email (to confirm) and on a later date, when the decision about your submission is made.

Recipe

  • When submitting a recipe, please send only those created by you that have not been previously published on paper or electronically.
  • If you are adapting (veganizing) an existing recipe include the original, its source, and the name of the author if possible.
  • If the recipe calls for unusual ingredients let us know what could be an appropriate substitute for them.
  • Clearly specify the ingredients and all the steps in your recipe.
  • A picture is worth a thousand words: at PassiFlora we like to see your final creation so if you have a picture of the dish – send it along.
  • If you do not have a picture for your recipe we would take one ourselves and include it in the magazine.
  • Provide an email address so we can contact you with questions and confirmation of selection.

Articles

  • When submitting an article, please send only those created by you that have not been previously published on paper or electronically.
  • Please specify the category for you article: is it a general-interest article, first-person story, tips about green living, or maybe it is a seasonal article.
  • You do not have to send the whole article right away. You can simply provide a clear description of your work. If we think it to be appropriate for one of the categories in our magazine we would contact you for the whole piece.
  • If you have supporting images for your piece please send them, providing the name of the photographer.
  • Please provide an email address so we can contact you with questions and confirmation of selection.

Craft

  • We are interested in publishing your eco-friendly craft projects and step-by-step tutorials.
  • We are looking for projects that have not been previously published on paper or electronically.
  • Make sure to clearly list all the necessary equipment and tools and include a step-by-step instructions.
  • Schematic images and pictures are very appreciated and would make it easier for readers to follow the instructions.
  • You do not have to send all the material right away. Simply provide a clear description of your work and if we think it to be appropriate for the magazine we would contact you for the whole piece.
  • Provide an email address so we can contact you with questions and confirmation of selection.
